About me
A Chicago-born composer and guitarist based in New York City, Gregory Polzak is known for blending traditional orchestral writing with experimental synth textures to create music that transcends genre and elevates the narratives of film and television. His work spans award-winning productions including the Showtime series Ray Donovan and The Affair, Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters, A24’s The Front Room, and horror anthology feature The Driftless.
Gregory earned his Bachelor of Music in composition from the University of Illinois where he studied under Philipp Blume and Zack Browning. He received his Master of Music in composition from New York University where he studied under film composer David Spear and orchestration with Justin Dello Joio. In addition to his work as a composer, Gregory serves as Adjunct Professor of Film Music Composition at New York University, where he teaches film music composition.
